COBRA Subsidy Extended

COBRA subsidy extension has passed and signed into law.  The extension was to end on December 31, 2009, but the extension allows anyone who involuntarily losses their job until February 28, 2010 to receive the benefit.  As a reminder, the benefit is only having to pay 35% of the employers cost for health insurance through COBRA.  Furthermore, the act originally allowed a 9 month benefit period.  That period has also been extended for another 6 months, making the total benefit period 15 months.
